Sergio Arribas: 'There's no better way to return home than having two back-to-back games'

The UD Almería players values the fact that UD Almería will play the next two league matches at home, although now he only focuses on CD Castellón, a 'very attacking team.'

Sergio Arribas has been in the UDA Radio studios to talk about the upcoming match against CD Castellón. The Madrid-born player stated: 'We've played three away games out of the first four...being able to achieve only one victory in Tenerife. There's no better way to return home than by playing two games in a row.'

The objective is none other than to collect the 6 points to boost self-esteem, especially after the defeat against CD Eldense. 'We have faith in ourselves and full confidence in the coaching staff and the squad. As I said, it's been three away matches and one at home. We need to have peace of mind. This has only just begun, there is a long road ahead and we're a high-quality team with goals, although we've lacked a higher percentage of success with respect to the hatful of chances we have had.'

The 22-year-old attacker is making his debut this season in the second division of Spanish football, after making the leap from third-tier Primera RFEF to top-flight LaLiga EA Sports. 'It's a very tough competition as we're seeing. There are big clubs and anyone can beat you. We have to become strong at home and then score as many points as possible on the trips,' he said. Therefore, winning on Monday will be essential. 'We will pile on the attack, with great intensity and looking to score as soon as possible to play with more peace of mind. In our Stadium and with our fans we have to take the initiative, command and impose ourselves on the rivals,' he said.

It won't be an easy task because Arribas argued that 'CD Castellón are a very offensive team and maybe we can take advantage of the spaces they leave, but at the same time, they attack with a lot of players up front and at any moment they can surprise you.'

The week, as the attacking midfielder acknowledged, is being long with up to 6 training sessions but 'we're training well and preparing for the game to face it with confidence,' he pointed out.
